I am self employed and live in Auckland on the North Shore. My wife & I have 5 beautiful children aged 12 to 22. I am passionate about electric vehicles & renewable energy for business. We are planning to install solar power as we have 2 electric vehicles, & solar should pay for itself within 3-4 years. We made the leap to go electric six years ago now & at the time were really worried about the range limit of the 24kWh Nissan Leaf's. We wondered if we could make it work. It was a challenge with the short range cars but its been an awesome journey too & we will never go back to petrol. We have a busy life & still made the switch to electric cars to be part of the change to a healthier planet so I encourage you to give them a go. The range on most electric vehicles is now over 400km & you can charge your car at home in the same socket you plug your mobile phone into. From start to finish, the process of renting Johns car was very easy. He is quick to communicate, was always available if we needed help and is a lovely person.
The pick up and drop process was thorough. Would definitely recommend and would hire again.

John is very on top of things for being such a busy guy. He was helpful and flexible when our flight was delayed and waited as we slowly made our way through biosecurity from 1 to 2am despite an original pickup time of 8:45AM. On dropoff he was kind enough to offer us a ride to a nearby shopping center he was heading to which was helpful in more ways than one. Renting from an individual instead of a company is a bit stressful and we were all a bit stressed but his kindness in his actions really shows his heart. I would recommend renting from John anytime!
