Retired RAAF officer. I have been driving legally since 1969, and prior to that on farm tractors, motorcycles and a medium rigid Bedford truck from the time I could reach the pedals. I held an Australian Defence Force drivers licence for a variety of vehicles up to 24 seater bus and trailer and was certified for adverse terrain and carriage of dangerous goods. Now the most dangerous goods I carry are overloaded picnic baskets. I enjoy gentle travel, lingering lunches and the surprises found only in small towns and out of the way places.
