Because of a cancellation we had to find a car just before our flight took off. Sonya reacted fast and we were very happy to have a car when we arrived in Queenstown.

Great car for our trip. Owner was quite late meeting us for pick up and didn't communicate this in the best way. Otherwise the car worked out really well for us.

She asked us to contact her when we arrived which we did. We got no reply for 20 minutes, so proceeded by taxi, to the agreed pick up point at the Pak n Save carpark in Hawthorne Street. After searching the carpark at Pak n Save and ringing Sonya's husband, we were told the pick up point had been changed and the car was parked at the Airport carpark. We had to take the taxi back to the airport putting us $70.60 out of pocket. Sonya's husband said he would send instructions with where the car was parked. He sent 13 emails. I had to log in to view each email. The instructions were on the last email. Meanwhile we had searched the carpark in the 30 degree heat and finally located the vehicle before I got to the final email. I found the keys, but was unable to locate the parking ticket to get out of the carpark. After searching for 30 minutes we finally found the ticket. As the car had been parked in the carpark since the previous person had left it there, it cost us a further $20 to get it out of the carpark. We were now $90.60 out of pocket. All this happened because Sonya was too lazy to be bothered to turn up and fill in the paperwork and take the photographs as she was meant to. Sonya never bothered to turn up on the last day when we returned the car at 6.00am. We left it in the carpark where we found it as we had to catch our flight.

An older car but really reliable. Easy to drive with plenty of room. Novel having an asian GPS but not an issue with Google maps on your phone. Sonya and her husband, Indi, were easy to contact and easy to deal with. I would definitely seek them out on MyCarYourRental should I be lucky enough to get to NZ again in the future.

The car is in a great condition and very fuel efficient. Had no issues driving the car. Our pick up and drop off was from Queenstown airport. However, owner's friend came to pick us from the airport to take to the car location which is 5 minutes drive and 18 minutes walk from the airport. This should have been cleary mentioned in the ad. We had problems with the car drop off as the car was suppose to be dropped off at the long term parking location which is 18 minutes walk so I have drop my family at the airport , park the car and walk all the way to the airport. This was not stated in the ad. The ad says pick up and drop off at Airport but actually its little away from the airport. Apart from that everything was good. Both Inder and Sonya were efficient in communication and quickly responding to our queries. Will definitely book from them next time.

The car is superb! It is spacious (with folded down front seats we even could sleep in it). The car is fuel efficient, runs very quiet. We were very satisfied and happy with the car. The pick up and drop off was in a convinient walking distant from airport.

Andrew was happy with the arrangements made for car hire. Communiticationwas very good, unfortunately Andrew didn't have time to refuel the vehicle so he passed on $20 when he dropped off the vehicle. Thank you for accommodating us at short notice.

The vehicle I rented was not available at the agreed pickup time. I had to wait several hours to revive a car, which still was not the vehicle I asked for. Communication was very poor, the vehicle was not clean when I received it.

No response via message - no reply via phone. Nothing from mycaryourrental either - impossible to contact but have asked me to review a car I couldn't rent. Ridiculous.

Really good communication, good car, highly recommended to rent Sonya's car to explore the island.

The car worked well for the few days we needed it. Sonya was not present for pick up or drop off but did leave it in a lot near the airport to make it easy to pick up.

Good car, functions well, petrol efficient. Pickup had some issues with our communication, but if you're flexible with that you get a decent value people-mover. I'd still likely rent again knowing what I know now.
