Nice easy, straight forward communications, pick up and drop off. Car in well maintained condition, well equipped, comfortable and luxurious. Couple of scratches and dings but hey we didn't mind one bit. Great price.

Great all around experience.

Henrik was effective with communication and readily available. The car runs smoothly however it is rundown but if you’re looking for a cheap car to get you from A to B it’s perfect and also did well on gas.

Great communication, easy pick up and drop off. Car is very tidy and clean. I found the engine took awhile to start which was a bit concerning but overall a good rental.

Easy to contact and answered all questions

The car we rented from Henrik was in a terrible condition from the beginning. We try to contact him thru his mobile Number. He never picks up the phone. He never agreed to meet us. He told us he has no Phone, then he told us he has no other way to communicate. We used 200 Dollars of oil to drive down to the south island and back. We told him that we get stuck with the car every 200 km means the car lost complete power in the middle of the road . Horror to drive a car like this and it ruined our trip on our holiday. We could not drive anymore hills etc. When we told him he told us just fill up the tank every 200 km and he 100% new of the condition of the car. The engine burned the oil because there was a leak inside the engine. There was no oil filled up when we pick up the car. The smoke who come out of the exhaust was incredible . We wanted to show him and ask him for a email to send him pictures. After that he never answer our messages for a whole week. Finally we went to the police to report him and let him know. After that he just send a message that he was outside the country and didn't had internet in Denmark. Us a Tourist in NZ we felt terrible and couldn't belief someone like Henrik would rent a car like this to us. We felt constantly in danger and could not just walk away with all the luggage we had to go camping. Don't even think to rent a car from Henry on top of it the car was stinky. IT its impossible everyone has a phone or Internet to run a business like that. We where in a big fear to get stuck on the road somewhere with no help from Henrik. Don't ever rent a car from him. He didn't come to collect the car when we ask him to talk to him in person.

The Ford Escape is a great car. We enjoyed our 2 weeks on the northern island with it. It takes quite some fuel. The car was clean and all time on the road reliable. Henrik was always easy to reach, gave quick answers. Thanks.

We were very disappointed with the pick up and drop off procedure. The car was also very disappointing, no air conditioning or useable navigation screen. I thought that by hiring from Henrik I was helping a New Zealander rather than hiring from a multi national car hire company. Unfortunately my decision back fired on me, and spoilt our holiday.

The van is as it says on the description, 'a work horse'. started first time, drove well and was exactly what we needed to move some boxes to storage. Very quick and easy booking with Henrik. Thanks, I will be back.

The fuel gauge was on when we picked up car and being stuck in peak hour traffic trying to find a petrol station was not ideal. There was no spare tyre which gave me anxiety the whole time as we were travelling long distances over public holidays. But we made good use of the car, it drove well gave us plenty of space for our travels.

When car broke down, Henrik didn’t answer call. He only replied via this website. I had to find towing company, place to get the car analysed and fixed. No help with transport when car was fixed or replacement when fixing took too long. He did refund us for the rest of the period, but I would like better communication and roadside assistance. All cars CAN break down, but I prefer a better service if it happens.

Wonderful for our trip away

It is what it says on the box- got me from point A to point B without breaking down. Only negative would be the car is quite dated and old.. Interiors are dirty and worn out and exterior has dents and scuff marks

Overall, Henrik is down to earth and honest.

Cars are cheaper than usual rentals, things are dirty and broken. Would be great if up front about what works and what doesn’t to make better choices between vehicles. Our car was swapped out last minute by Henrik, gas light was on, 2 windows didn’t wind down, car was filthy inside and out, had other peoples items and drinks inside, old stereo that didn’t go over 89.9fm and registration card was out of date.

During the high season, we were happy to find a car to rent at the last minute. Even if we had trouble booking it on the website, it worked at the end. We were able to start our road trip and the car did the job till the end. Nevertheless, I would like to highlight few downsize of this car. The car has a very high level of fuel consumption, was very dirty inside and outside and the tank was almost empty when we picked it up.
