Car Description

Our beautiful van has everything needed for travelling NZ in luxury and space. It has a powerful diesel engine with automatic transmission and great visibility from the cab. It sleeps 4 with a permanent island bed to the rear, nicely separated from the large front sleeping area by the kitchen. The large leather lounge area seats 6 easily and has a dining table (stored in the bedroom when not in use). re are no queues in the morning. The decadent master bedroom has large windows and skylight to watch the sky at night. There are solid doors to provide a private central dressing room or ensuite. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas hob, gas oven and grill, huge fridge, separate freezer and plenty of storage, wine rack, pull out pantries etc. We have equipped the van with everything you could possibly want, including both freedom camping basics such as kettle, toaster and stovetop espresso maker and all the electrical appliances from home for when you have power, such as Nespresso machine, vacuum, hair dryer, toaster etc. We have DVDs, books and board games, 2 tv's (1 in bedroom for DVDs and one in living room with satellite tv), portable bluetooth speaker, usb charging cables for phones and sat nav in the cab. The van is able to be used in the winter with a wonderful gas heating system where you just dial in the temperature you want and it does the rest. It's ducted throughout the van, including bathroom. Outside there is plenty of storage and a large 4.5m wind out awning to enjoy sun or shade, with 4 very comfy armchairs to relax in and a baaby weber BBQ. We leave fresh ground coffee, tea, milk, a bottle of wine and pantry basics to get you off to a good start. The rear garage stores everything, such as chairs, tables, washing line+pegs, clothes airer, body boards, outdoor games, baby Weber bbq, water hoses etc, and you have a bike rack for up to 2 bikes (we can supply 2 plus helmets for $20 each per day) and we can supply kids scooters with helmets at $7.50 per day. Our motorhome can give you the freedom to explore NZ in your own way with large water tanks, large gas bottles and solar, or visit the many wonderful NZ campsites with great facilities. Includes fresh linen and towels for 4, tea towels, duvet, pillows etc. You can leave your suitcases at our home. There is a large supermarket 1min walk away to load up the van before you head away. Can be driven on a car license. We have a facebook page - Long Flat White. Please look at this as there are many instructional videos for the motorhome. Our house is at Long Bay, on Auckland's North Shore, 1 min walk from a large supermarket and an easy 45min shuttle from the airport. Pickups/dropoffs may be available for modest fee, please discuss beforehand.

House rules

No smoking, dogs by negotiation (not to be allowed on beds or furniture and secured on a lead at all times). To be returned with full fuel tanks and gas cylinders and empty toilet cassette and water tanks (or emptying fee applies of $150 plus fuel) NO driving on beaches, no ferries except interislander and 20km max on unsealed gravel roads.
