Possibly the oldest, but coolest, campervan for rent in New Zealand? Meet "Ladybird". She's been tucked away in a garage for the past 20 years but is now back on the road. Having passed road test although looking a bit rough on the outside she's ready to take on the roads during the summer. The inside is presently undergoing renovation and will be ready for the summer.
This is NOT your average campervan experience. Although the inside will be done up it is (for the 2

017 season) not self-contained, however, there is stove, 3-way fridge (runs on gas) and sink with water in the van. It seats 3 persons in the front but sleeps up to 4 persons inside. It comes with an additional tent for two people. Includes bedding, cutlery etc. for a weekend away.
Note, it is not approved for plugin to mains, ie. there is only 12V power system in the vehicle.

If you rent this van, included is a 30 minutes driving lesson at pick-up. This is not like driving a modern campervan and you should expect to go with the flow (or a little bit slower). NOT suitable for long-distance travel, but perfect to motorhoming with small drives each day - ie. 50-100 km between each stop :)
